Isla del Sol
Isla del sol (Island of the sun), Titicaca lake, Bolivia. This is an amazing place, this island is located at the lake Titica. The best way to get there is to go to Copacabana and take a boat from there to the island.
My tip is to go straight to the north side of the island, this side is more simple and less "commercial" than the south side. There you can easily get a room in one of the many family houses that have an extra room to rent for visitors and most of then are in the beach front and just cost a few bucks (I paid 5 dollars for a two bed bedroom).
After getting a room enjoy the incredible views of the lake with the Andes as background and after enjoying a beautiful sunset go and get a fresh trout from the lake at a simple restaurant. The next morning get your stuff and take the trail that goes all the way to the south side of the island, you will walk for about 3 or 4 hours having incredible views since the trail goes trough the top of the island and let you see many angles of the Titicaca and the snowy Andes.
This is a two days tour that is a must do for all the travelers that visit Bolivia.
